Elizabeth C Lawhon RN, FNP-BC

Liz is a native Oklahoman and has resided in Alexandria since 2004.
She received her bachelor of science in biomedical science at Texas A&M University and Masters of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. In 2004 she became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC. Liz worked at Mount Vernon Internal Medicine from 2004-2017 and then went on to work full time in long term care and subacute rehabilitation with Virginia Internal Medicine from 2017 until 2019. She frequently precepts students from local nurse practitioner programs as well as Vanderbilt.

Liz and her husband Alex live in Alexandria with their three children and 2 dogs. Liz is a avid runner. She is a board member of the Gollapolli Charitable foundation and travels to southern India every two years for medical camps. Liz and her family enjoy frequent trips back to Oklahoma to visit their relatives.
